The Local Spot (“we,” “our”) operates the local business directory and related tools. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse the directory, claim a merchant space, sign in to a dashboard, or submit a lead/contact form on a merchant landing page.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use The Local Spot, we may process:

• Account data (e.g. email) when merchants use Supabase Auth and the owner dashboard
• Business and contact details submitted when claiming a listing
• Lead form submissions (name, phone, responses) directed to a specific merchant
• Technical data such as IP and cookies in line with normal website operation

How we use information

We use data to:

• Operate and display the directory and merchant pages
• Process approvals for new listings
• Deliver email or SMS notifications (e.g. via Resend, Twilio) when configured
• Improve reliability and security of the platform

Storage & subprocessors

Data is stored in Supabase (database and auth). Email may be sent through Resend; SMS through Twilio when enabled. We do not sell personal information. Merchants receive leads submitted on their own pages for their own business purposes.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data where applicable. For information submitted on a specific merchant’s page, that merchant may be the appropriate contact for fulfilling requests related to their use of your data.
